Giannis is an amazing player, but the rest of the Bucks were not very good, and the team did not have a great record. After becoming frustrated with the team's lack of competitiveness and roster building, he decided he was ready to be traded. He did not publicly request a trade, but it was clear he wanted to join a team that would give him a better chance of winning.

Giannis had an incredible run with the Bucks: 2x MVP, 10x All-Star, 2021 NBA Champion, Finals MVP, DPOY, 5x All-Defensive Team, 9x All-NBA Team.

He has the most points, rebounds, assists, and blocks in franchise history.

But now his time with the team has come to an end...

Was this a good trade for the Heat?

The positive is that a frontcourt of Giannis and Bam Adebayo would be very, very good defensively, and offensively around the basket. The downside is that both Giannis and Bam are not great shooters, which means defenses can stay closer to the basket, forcing the rest of the Heat team to shoot more threes.

I feel like the Heat definitely still need to add a better point guard, a better bench, and better shooting before the season begins.

Overall, it will definitely be very interesting to see how well the Giannis-Bam duo plays together, especially if they can get some of those other pieces.

• The OKC Thunder are trading Aaron Wiggins to the Atlanta Hawks for two second-round picks. He averaged 9.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists for the Thunder this past season.

• Trae Young is signing a four-year, $212M deal to stay with the Washington Wizards. He is a 3x All-Star and averaged 15 points and 6 assists in his 5 games with the Wizards before getting injured.

• CJ McCollum has agreed to a one-year, $21 million contract extension with the Atlanta Hawks. He averaged 18.7 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.3 rebounds for the team this past season.

• Collin Gillespie is signing a four-year, $48 million deal to return to the Phoenix Suns. He averaged 12.7 points and 4.6 assists for the Suns this past season. He also set the Suns' single-season franchise record for three-pointers.

• Jordan Goodwin is signing a 3-year, $19M deal to return to the Phoenix Suns. He averaged 8.7 points and led the team in total steals this past season with 106.
